Follow-Up Review: 10,000 miles on tires
July 11, 2012
On the replacement set from Goodyear, experiencing the same issue. I'm going to replace them with Michelin Energy Saver A/S. Tread wear is not as high but the tire feels really smooth on my wife's Rav4 and handles realyy well. I'm fed up with these tire. Goodyear should have done them right thing and refund the amount or pay for the tire of my choice.( with in reason of course ) There are many reviews on this website that confirms my complaint. There are some bad tires coming out of the factory and and own up to it, but they have not. I guess Goodyear is really hard up for money. They should have taken care of the customer ( me ). There lost. They will never get my business ever again.
Initial Review: 5,000 miles on tires

I'm some what disappointed in this tire. Great in just about all the categories except for highway. As soon as I had these tires put on I get this strange rumble feel in the truck at 65mph and higher. It's not your regular shimming that you would get if the tire was out of balance. Didn't have this issue with my previous set of tire. ( Yokohama ) Had them balanced twice where I purchased them and also balanced them at Toyota on two different occasions. No Luck. Thought if I broke them in a few miles it would get better. No luck there either. I use to love driving my truck on the highway but no more. My other choice would have been the Michelin Energy Saver A/S. Should gone with those. My wife needed tires on her RAV4 so I went with the Michelins's. About the same in all the categories like the Goodyears minus the snow & ice ( to warm, just got them put on 2 weeks ago ) and what a difference on the highway. Such a smooth ride. I miss that on my truck. I question myself, maybe I have an issue on my front end? So I swopped all 4 wheels from my wife's truck and put them on my truck and my wheels on hers to see if it was truly the tires giving me this grief. I took my truck for run on the highway. Low and behold the rumble sensation was gone. Drove my wife's truck the following day on the highway and yes I felt the rumble sensation in her truck. So I called Goodyear and they said they could not give me a pro rated refund but they would give me a new set of tires. I thought maybe I had a bad batch. So I got them put on and went on the Highway and the same results. The ruble feel. I guess I'm stuck these tires. In all my years of buying new tires, I never had such a strange issue before. I was so looking forward to these tires because of the great reviews. I'll see if I can stay with them for a short time or as much as I can tolerate this sub-par ride on the highway before I get a set of the Michelins. Goodyear tires, NEVER AGAIN.
