Follow-Up Review: 35,000 miles on tires

Last review I said that the only problem with these tires was tread noise. Since then I found out I had a bad wheel bearing that caused the noise. Once it was repaired, the tires are quiet. Lesson for anyone else. These are good tires.
Initial Review: 34,000 miles on tires
February 16, 2013

Got these based on TR reviews to replace OEM Bridgestones Duellers which were harsh and noisy. They were a vast improvement in comfort and handling, and noise. Now we have 34,000 miles on them and the noise is unbearable. It started getting gradually noisy at 25,000 miles, now it almost sounds like a mechanical problem but the tire dealer said it was the tires and it will get worse over time. Tried different inflation pressures with no luck. Tread wear is OK, it looks like about half worn out at this mileage, and ride is good. Still, we have to dump them soon because of the tire noise. Would not recommend them to any one. I was a General fan at first and even put Generals on my other car, but now those tires are starting to get noisy also. Disappointing..
