General G-MAX AS-03
Follow-Up Review: 67,435 miles on tires
Well, These Tires Definitely Meet And Exceed My Expectations Even After 40,000 Miles. I Did Replace The Rear Set At About 37,000 Miles, But The Front Set Is Still Hanging In There. This Is The First Time I Have Had Tires That Actually Lasted For The Entire Mileage Warranty Had I Not Been Over Accelerating Occasionally, The Rear Set Would Have Exceeded The 40,000 Treadwear Estimate. Notes: THESE TIRES REQUIRE ABOUT 1000 MILE BREAK IN PERIOD. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENS, BUT WHEN NEW, THESE TIRES TEND TO LOSE TRACTION DURING AGGRESSIVE CORNERING. PROBLEM GOES AWAY ONCE YOU GET ABOUT 1000 MILES ON THEM. I ALSO RUN THEM ABOUT 5 PSI HIGHER - 40 Versus 36. A LOT OF PRESSURE VARIANCE WITH CHANGES OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IN SPRING & FALL. RATHER RUN A BIT HIGH THAN LOW DURING THOSE SEASONS.
Initial Review: 42,000 miles on tires
Perfect tire for my Camaro. Excellent handling and traction under all road conditions I've encountered. Way better than the factory Pirelli summer tires that came on the vehicle.
