General AltiMAX RT43 (T-Speed Rated)
Initial Review: 2,000 miles on tires

I have been very impressed with these tires. I was looking for a tire that would perform well in snow, but would also be quite and comfortable. I have driven on these tires for about two months now and I have found the noise levels are not incredibly low as I had hoped. My Civic had the OE Goodyear Eagle RS-A's before I bought there General's and I noticed a change in noise levels, but it wasn't nearly as much a reduction as I was expecting since at highway speeds the tire noise is still significant (party a civic issue.) On the other hand the tires are much more comfortable ant there Goodyears. The most noticeable area is the minor bumps and cracks in the road. These General's take the edge right out of them.

On the snow these tires have performed better than I expected. There is still slippage and wheel spin, but significantly less than I have had with any other tire on any car I have driven. I also find slides and wheel spin is easily controlled. I find these tires have made it significantly easier to travel in the snow and it is much safer. I would recommend these tires.
