Initial Review, 10,000 Miles on Tires Only had these tires for a few thousand miles, but so far I am impressed. We have had some rais stormes, and the tires do very well on wet pavement. Previous set of tires were Continental ContiPro Contact and they were horrible. The Altimax's softer compound gives a much smoother ride. Handling is also improved. They are rated for 55K wearout, but from what I've read, they may not make it that far. it's all relative because the Continentals were rated for much longer, and they crapped out before 25K miles.It feels good driving down the road not thinking every suspension part is broken.
