Initial Review, 18,000 Miles on Tires
August 01, 2012

I used these for two winter seasons. I was really impressed. My previous tires were Hankook iPikes which were rather decent also. The tread pattern on the iPikes are very similar to the Generals. In any case, I was quite satisfied with the capabilities of these tires. I quickly became confidant in any winter condition possible. I even once found myself in a lane headed for a section where there was fresh untrammeled snow (about 8 inches deep, no less) and I was traveling at 60 mph. I freely admit that I was concerned that it was going to turn out badly. I headed into the snow, much of it going over the hood, and continued on with only a slight hint of unsteadiness in the rear. When the next lane over was clear, I exited the snow filled lane with gratitude. I now have a six-speed Acura TL and am already planning a purchase of a set of these for it.
