Follow-Up Review: 45,000 miles on tires
After 3 years and 45K miles, I still like this tire. Great traction in the rain. If you hit the brakes hard, you can really hear those sipes holding the road. Very open tread pattern - rarely ever any hydroplaning, even at highway speeds. And just outstanding in the snow. With AWD and these tires, I never have to worry about getting stuck. It's like claws for your car.

The only thing I would change from my initial review (after the newness wore off) is that these tires are noisier than average. Other snow tires have a softer compound. These are a bit harder, thus the noise.

On the highway, I had a right-lane driver swerve to avoid another car when I was in the left-lane. I had to swerve into the center median strip. At 70mph in the grass, these tires held on! I kept on the gas, the car didn't skip a beat, and I merged right back into traffic.

I've gone 4-wheeling in the car in mud, snow, deep sand and even through corn fields. The only thing that has ever stopped me (only once) is lack of ground clearance.

I -will- definitely buy again, because I am totally confident that these tires will hold the road; in the rain, in the snow, or even off-road.
Initial Review: 100 miles on tires
Local dealer wanted $520 to special order these tires. Tire Rack comes through again - had my tires in a matter of days. With mounting, total cost was $380.
As for the tires, they are a bit softer than my old tires. Not looking for track tires, so it works for me. Noise is not a problem. I would rate these as only slightly noisier than the stock tires, if at all.
Looking forward to getting a few more miles on the tires, on and off road.
