Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires Well I have to be honest, The Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 tires are the best tire I have ever used in dry warm weather. They are a little noisy at cooler temps and the wet traction is not very good. But when the temperature gets above 75 degrees they get stickier and very responsive. I'd say that it is not a New England tire since its mostly wet and cool up here, but definitely meant for a place down south. I bought the Yokohama S-Drive tires to replace the Firestone's.
