Follow-Up Review: 34,834 miles on tires

i got almost 35K miles out of this set. I took them for final rotate and balance and discovered a staple in one so I went ahead and got a new set of tires. These Firestones were not to the wear bars yet (getting close though). I was pleasantly surprised by the longevity of these summer tires. They even did a pretty good job in snow a month or so before being replaced. Noticeably louder and stiffer than the Firehawk A/S model I replaced them with.
Initial Review: 20,000 miles on tires
April 17, 2013

When I got these tires I didn't realize they came with no treadwear warranty. I didn't expect to get very many miles out of them but I have been pleasantly surprised by them. I have just over 20,000 miles on them as of this writing. When the were new they felt a little squirrely, especially on grooved pavement but that feeling went away after about 200 miles. Wet traction has been exceptional and these tires inspire as much confidence as can be had when hitting a large puddle at speed. As they've worn I do detect a little more road noise but that could just be me getting old. I think I'll get at least 25,000 out of this set, possibly more. They are good tires for the cost (for my needs).
