Follow-Up Review: 9,000 miles on tires
Kave had these tires on for 9,000 miles now. Have driven un various conditions from light off-road, to crossing small streams, to driving the winding hills and tight cures. The traction on these timres is excellent dry and wet (in fact wet feels nearly as great as dry!). No hydroplaning issues. Have even driven these timres on light off-road, crossing small streams (7-8 deep). The tires have handled condition I have sunjected them to. These are some of the best timres for the XC90 V8, much better than the OEM Michelins. I run 235/65/18 on this vehicle and keep 39 lbs of air in the tires. They handle uneven roads and do not display any more noise issues than the OEM tires. If you are a spirited driver (and the XC90 V8 handles so well) and want a great tire for your XC90 V8, so far this is the tire to own. Next will be some visits to snow country during winter. I'll report back after a few thousand more miles! By the way I have had them rotated once so far. I love these tires!
Initial Review: 500 miles on tires
We just got a st of these tires. Have been wanting to try them ever since they came available. Our 2nd set of Michellin OEM's had finally wore out (got about 50,000 on each set), but wanted a better handling tire, and one that would work in snow for trips to Lake Tahoe. So far the tires are excellent. Better steering response and handling than OEM's. Much better road feel (poor California roads) don't seem to affect them. Less noise than OEM's. Overall one of the best tires I have ever used on the Volvo XC90 V8. Will report back after summer and update rain and snow handling. So far I am very pleased with these tires.
