Follow-Up Review: 12,000 miles on tires
This is the 2nd season on these tires and the E performs very well with them. Granted the mileage put on this car is significantly less than my other S Class, but with fewer miles the tires remain excellent performers. I suspect the same issues I am having with the tires on my S Class will eventually occur with these tires as they rack up the mileage.

Still an excellent tire for the money and securely plants both AWD Mercedes making them pretty much unstoppable in the snow.
Initial Review: 500 miles on tires
I have only put a few hundred miles on these tires but have been through 1 heavy wet snowfall and now a larger snowfall with deep, light snow and ice. The tires have made my E Class feel solidly planted in snowy weather. The traction control has yet to kick in even with heavy throttle starts - the car just goes. Steering in snow/icy conditions is very stable and direct and stopping is effortless and the ABs doesn't activate. Dry grip is good although the tires do make the car feel a bit numb. The only time I felt a loss of traction was during heavy acceleration on wet pavement.
I have run Blizzaks (didn't like them in deep snow) and GoodYear which I loved, but since GoodYear doesn't make my tire size in UltraGrips, I decided to try these. They are so good I bought a set for my much larger S Class and cannot wait to se how they behave on the larger car.
