I have found my new favorite snow tire. I live just north of NYC and for the type of weather we get here, this tire is perfect on my 2007 B9 Tribeca. Unlike traditional snows, this tire doesn't fall on it's face when you ask it to do spirited dry driving. It retains good sidewall stiffness, good light-snow traction, good wet traction, and has impressive dry traction given it's snow designation. This past winter we got our second big snow-storm of the year on the Saturday I was bringing my car in to get the snow tire/wheels mounted. With 1 to 2 inches of snow on the roadway, the difference in traction between going to the tire shop and driving home was night and day. I was white knuckled going there on my high-performance all-seasons, and giddy on the drive back with these 3Ds. The only complaint would be increased noise over my standard tires, but nothing obnoxious.
If you're looking for a light-snow tire that can do what it needs to a few times a year when the white stuff falls but still provides good braking and cornering performance in the dry - you should be impressed with these.
