Follow-Up Review: 36,700 miles on tires

Had a chance to test the Sport 7000s in an Upstate NY snowstorm of 1 ft. They never gave me a moment of doubt or feeling of failure. I never once got stuck. I'll admit to being surprised based on my earlier review. I still don't LOVE these tires, but I like them a lot more. They continue to get good mileage and eat up the road at speed. They always did handle well.
Initial Review: 31,000 miles on tires

These tires were OE for Suzuki Kazashi. Not bad when new, actually quiet and handled well. At speed they were very good and on twisty roads they gripped to a point, but I never felt fully confident they would hang in there. I mean, the car felt more than willing, but had a sense the tires would give up. Most trips were East Coast, mid-Atlantic to Upstate NY. Never had a chance to truly run them in deep snow due to mild winters, but they were a bit harsh on sub-freezing days until they warmed up. Now at 31k miles the tread is starting to go. Wear is even (they have been rotated regularly), but I was expecting more miles. I consistently get 32mpg or better and would get more at reasonable speed ; ). The handling is definitely going and spirited driving requires a lot of skill now. Time to start looking for something newer (and better).
