Initial Review, 31,500 Miles on Tires
For the price, the Star Specs are well worth it if you're looking for great performance and longevity in the extreme tire category. With tire rotation done at almost every oil change, I've manage to get 31,500 miles out of my current set. Although these tires are well worn down, there's still a little treadlife in them and could maybe go another 1,000-2,000 mile or more on them; however, a second set of Star Specs recently ordered from Tire Rack should be at my front door in the next few days. Although, the ride on these tires are now noticeably harsher, the grip is still great. I got caught in some heavy unexpected rain during a drive in the canyons the other day and I was amazed that wet traction is still good slowing down to average speed through the twisties. For the street, the traction and grip on the Star Specs are more than-more than enough and I've been more than happy with them, that's why I'm going with the Stars Specs again for the third time.
