Continental ExtremeContact DWS
Initial Review: 10,000 miles on tires
July 23, 2014

Purchased these tires in February '14 for my '02 Audi S6 Avant. Only one set of wheels and didn't want to kill a set of dedicated snow tires with summer driving in CO, so I needed a compromise tire for my Audi.

Selected the DWS for its aggressive tread design, very similar to a dirt rally tire. Shortly after purchase, made a ski trip to Crested Butte, CO from Denver through very sketchy, snowy conditions in Monarch Pass (11,300 ft). I felt the tires performed flawlessly and was rather impressed, especially during the descent on corners with packed snow/ice. Tires performed just as well in slushy conditions during spring snowstorms. Steering response on snow is solid as well; haven't had any moments of severe understeer.

I've been very happy with this tire purchase and hope Continental will continue to make this fantastic tire. If you are in need of tires capable of handling TRUE all-season conditions, look no further, the DWS is the tire you seek.
