Initial Review: 1,000 miles on tires

Just purchased before winter because I needed a better set tire for wet/snowy conditions. Dry handling on the back roads was precise and predictable, evens at its limits. With the onslaught of an early winter this year, I got to test their winter capabilities way too soon. Rain traction is excellent, even when pushed to the limits. Ice/snowy conditions are now a pleasure to drive on. They do a great job trudging through 3" of snow and are completely controllable and calculable on ice covered roads.
If you're not going to invest in a set of dedicated winter tires, these Conti's seem to be a safe compromise.
