Initial Review, 500 Miles on Tires I work at a Honda dealership and I see all kinds of tires. When I first thought about getting the Continentals I was a tad bit hesitant because the Continental 4x4 Contact that come on the CR-V last maybe about 30-35k miles. However a few other guys at the shop have had the ExtremeContact and the ExtremeContactDWS and reassured me that these were much greater (traction and wear) than the ones on the CR-V. They were correct to say the least!!! These tires are quiet! Much quieter than the junk Michelin HxMxM4 that I removed. The Continentals should have come on the car to begin with, outperforming the Michelin in every aspect except for dry handling and responsiveness which may be just because my Michelins were at 5/32 upon removal and Continentals being at 10/32 there is a great more rubber. I purchased the Continentals after I was out driving in a half inch of snow with the Michelins and was helpless. DWS is a great tire from Continental and I would not hesitate one bit to trust the reviews from TireRack to choose the best tire. Second purchase from TireRack and definitely won't be the last. Super fast shipping and excellent customer service. I got these tires in less than 24 hours from purchase with just basic shipping!
