Follow-Up Review: 5,200 miles on tires

Wow!! I have 5K+ on these tires already and i freaking love them. What little they give up in not being a dedicated summer performance tire, they more than make up for it in every other aspect of one's driving needs. By the way, they handle the corners as well as I need them too. Also, picked up a nail in the sidewall on one of 'em and Tire Rack has been awesome with handling the Conti Road Hazard warranty (standard by the way) on these tires. FYI..the tires in the mail Tire Rack. Thanks for the help!!! Buy these tires if you want performance that covers a wide variety of driving scenarios and covers them all very well.
Initial Review: 1,500 miles on tires

Wow! It's only been 1500 miles or so since I had these tires installed. And while i don't get snow in my area, except for the day after xmas this year, i do live near a beach with nearly 25 miles of driveable beach front and that's what the S in these tires refers to for me. I absolutely love these tires! Only time will tell how they perform over the longhaul, i can not complain at all. Road noise is minimal, ride comfort is high on the highway and pot-hole/cobblestone ladden side streets and wet traction/hydroplaning resistance is phenomenal. On the beach...lets just say i can go wherever I would want to go in this car in the sand, I can only imagine how these would go in snow and ice! The only negative with these is the softer than summer performance tires sidewalls. Of course, this is expected and accepted with an all-season tire. I will say though, I have put these through the paces on the area on-ramps and curves with minimal loss of confidence in my Subie's cornering ability. What little roll in the sidewalls i experienced, was compensated by the true tracking of the tire. It is as if you can feel the tire start to roll and the tread and contact patch take over from there. For an all purpose, all-season tire the conti Extreme Contact DWS is hard to beat. Thank you Tire Rack for the awesome service.
