Initial Review: 600 miles on tires
June 30, 2012

Living in Canada, I was unable to get a set of these for a local Track Day, but was able to get these through Tire Rack, and much cheaper, even though I was able to buy them at cost locally. They were delivered very quickly and I am very happy with the buying experience and the service provided.

These replaced a set of G-Force tires that were about 12 years old. They were nearing the time of replacement from a wear point of view and definitely needed replacement from the age perspective.

I love these Extreme Contact tires. I only have about 600 miles on these tires, and I cannot fault them for anything. Look great on the car, minimal sound on the road, and no noticeable drifting on road snakes and cracks. Before going to a track day, I put on about 300km. At the track, they were flawless. Since it was my first track day, and I wanted/expected to drive my car home after the event, I did not take the car to the extreme, but I felt that I pushed the car well within my capabilities, and they held the road extremely well. This was held at an airport that was closed for the day, so there were lots of turns and some good straight sections. I did leave the traction control on, but it only came on three or four times during all of my times on the track, and I had four turns averaging 30 minutes each. I would certainly recommend these tires for a replacement, especially for the C4 generation.
