Initial Review, 5,000 Miles on Tires THis is a great tire if you want a nice compromise between performance, noise and ride. On my BMW M5, they are up to any socially responible thing I do on the road. However, they are useless on the track. I ran a few laps at Thunderhill. As soon as I got near the best lap time the tires overheated and greased up. The temps were not bad, in the 160 to 180 deg F range.
