Initial Review, 11,000 Miles on Tires These were OEM on the car when it arrived. By 5,000 miles of mild driving tire noise was loud. By 12,000 miles the howling noise from the tires was so unbearable above 30 miles per hour that you couldn't hear the radio and I couldn't bear to drive the car. Audi dealer said the noise was probably from "uneven wear" even though the tires were rotated, aligned and balanced every 3,000 miles.
