Vehicle: 2000 Ford Contour SE
Miles Driven on Tires: 500
Location: Baltimore, MD
Driving Condition: Combined Highway/City
Driving Style: Average
Follow-Up Review: 35,000 miles on tires
Sold the car to a friend who is still driving it. The tires now have just around 35,000 on them, still quiet, still more than 1/2 of tread left and still has a great feel. I'd buy them for the replacement vehicle (a VW Jetta), but the General Altimax HP is a good bit cheaper and come highly recommended by my service tech. If you have the money though...the Continentals are really worth it!!!
Initial Review: 500 miles on tires
Only have about 500 miles on these tires so far, but they have proven their worth! They're much quieter than the Sumitomo's they replaced. They're much more forgiving over bumps and uneven road surfaces. They don't complain like the Sumi's did under average cornering (30-35mph on an average cloverleaf off ramp). It's like driving a whole new car. I'm buying another set for my Mercury Sable later this month. Let's hope they impress me on that car, too.
