Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus
Initial Review: 1,400 miles on tires
November 18, 2013

I purchased the tire on Sept 30, 2013. My original equipment tires were the Continental Conti-Pro. I was averaging nearly 29 mpg between city/hwy driving. On one trip between St. Louis and Omaha, NE over Memorial Day Weekend 2013, I averaged a little over 34 mpg. Since putting the Turanza Serentiy Plus on, I've noticed I've lost between 2 to 2.5 mpg's since switching tires. This troubled me. A little note here: My original tires were rated 94T and the Turanza's are 95V and weigh a few lbs more. After doing some research and making a few phone calls, I asked the company that put my Turanza's on to increase my tire pressure to 34 psi (from the recommended 32 psi on the door with the original tires). This did make a difference and increased my mpg by about 1.5 mpg. Not quite what I was getting with the original tires but better. On my next oil change I am going to go with 35 psi and see if that brings me back to my original MPG's on the car.
