Initial Review: 18,000 miles on tires

After returning my top-rated Michelin Defenders due to 3 out of 4 being out-of-round, I decided to give these a try on the 'ol minivan. Although the tires may be overkill for the van, the transformation in ride, handling and snow traction is impressive. These tires do everything they promise...and more. I just finished up one of the most brutal winters in recent memory and they took everything thrown at them in stride. Snow traction is excellent with these tires...the best I've ever experienced from an all season tire. Once on dry pavement, they reward as well with good handling and stability while delivering a phenomenally good ride. My only complaint is a tad more noise than I thought they'd have...not objectionable but a noticeable whine at certain speeds (the Defenders were quieter). After 18,000 miles, they still look like new (although I'm sure they've worn some you certainly couldn't tell by looking at them). I give them a 2 thumbs up and will be putting a set on my sedan next fall. Highly recommended.
