Initial Review, 35,000 Miles on Tires
February 21, 2014

I've used many tires in the last 35 years, usually I go for high performance, but long lasting tires. Out of all the tires I've bought the Potenza RE970AS Pole Position were hands down the very best tires I've bought, dry and wet traction, hydroplaning resistance, steering responsiveness, and cornering stability, exceed every all weather tires and some well known dedicated summer tires. Period. I never drove them in the snow, but in cold weather (15-40 degrees)they became a little slippery when being pushed hard, but always very predictable. In the dry or wet, cold or hot, you always knew what these tires were doing. Fairly comfortable for the type of tires they are (UHP, and reasonably quite, the only annoying sound came from the slap of expansion joints. I will definitely buy again.
