Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position
Initial Review: 42,000 miles on tires
February 14, 2014

After 40,000+ miles, I just ordered my second set of these tires (well, the 970s as the 960s are no longer available). I recall them performing reasonably well in light snow when new, but now that I'm just about down to the wear bars, they are terrible in any amount of snow. I thought I might be able to make it to spring, but recent adventures in Wisconsin winter weather have left me downright embarrassed in traffic. It's definitely time for a new set.

Recent winter driving aside, these tires are spectacular in dry conditions and very good in wet conditions. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great 3 season tire, or in a climate with little to no snow. I will likely break down and get some winter tires next fall.
