Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position
Initial Review: 8,700 miles on tires

These tires are all I was looking for and more. I wanted an all season tire that was reasonably quiet with flexible sidewalls and I hoped for good response. The reviews indicated it was this or the Michelins. I went with the lower price since I had good experience with Bridgestone in the past. The results far exceeded my expectations. The R32 has basic understeer (go figure) and my car also felt loose in the rear end. The Bridgestones not only gave more bite at the front, they also made the rear end incredibly stable. The front and rear now feel connected. I have driven these tires in snow in RI as well as on the interstate between RI and FL and I am very satisfied with the quality of the ride and they have so far remained very quiet. At 39 psi recommended by VW, they are compliant and have much less harshness than the OE Dunlops.
