Initial Review, 1,000 Miles on Tires
Again, I offer another glowing review of this tire to go along with the several other you will find here and all over the web. Hands down this is the best all-season tire I have ever owned. I recently ditched a set of pirelli's (yuck) and michelin pilot sport A/S (much less yuck). This is my second set of Bridgestone Re 970s, my last lest was on my 05 Subaru Legacy GT. Well technically those were 960's but you get the idea. I was going to get the Firestone wide oval A/S but the shop manager said "listen I can get any tire I want on my car and I got the Bridgestone RE970's" then he showed me and sure enough thats what he had. I am so glad to buy these and have never looked back. Maybe another tire has slightly better grip (not likely) or another might be a little quieter (doubtful)or ride better (I hope you're not betting with your own money) but no tire and I've tried several A/S high performance tires (Toyo, Michelin, Pirelli, Firestone, Yokohama, Goodyear) have all the high marks of this tire blended so well into one product. I kid you not on my way home I purposely hit every bump in the road to see how they felt and really pushed them hard, I literally giggled like a school girl I was so pleased with how they preformed and drove the rest the way home with an ear to ear grin. If you're on the fence or himming and hawing about which tire to get or if these are too much money stop it, get these I'm telling you. I'm not sure about all the other Bridgestones but with these RE970's it is Bridgestone or nothing and yeah I'm pushing my wife outta the car too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BR-__IZ7YRo&feature=related
