Bridgestone Potenza RE92
Follow-Up Review: 45,700 miles on tires
As I mentioned, I took these off at 40,500 in November 2010 and ended up putting on 185/60R15 Firestone Winterforce tires (I did not stud them), which ROCK for winter driving BTW--felt like my little car was an SUV. Deep snow NOT a problem!

Anyhow, back to the RE92's. I kept the winter tires on most of the spring and summer--way too long. Anyhow, the RE92's now have 45,700 on them and are still at 5/32. So, if it were summer, I'd get another 10,000 miles out of them easily. Instead, I'm going to keep them on until 50,700ish and that will take me to the end of November/early December when I will put the winter tires back on. I don't think it'll be worth the remounting cost to switch them out in the spring ($80-$100 at the dealer). I think I'm going to buy new rims from Tire Rack for my next set of RE92's to fully maximize their life. I honestly think these tires would get about 60,000 miles easily.
Initial Review: 40,500 miles on tires
Not sure why the reviews are so poor for this tire. I've been very happy with it. I have 40,500 miles on them and they still have 5/32 left on them. I balanced/rotated them every 5,000 miles and they have worn very evenly, with no strange patterns. I just took them off and got winter tires, because they weren't going to be good for their second winter. However, I will be putting them back on next spring. I drive fast (8 points to prove it), and they have always felt stable and held tire pressure. I'm probably going to get another set next year, when I should get another 10K out of them.
