Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
Follow-Up Review: 65,000 miles on tires
Wear-rate is higher than I would have expected considering the grip. I got between 30-35k miles on the two sets I used. I took them down to apprxoimately 1-2/16th of tread before replacing. Obviously not recommended to wait that long, especially if you live in a wet or cold climate.
Initial Review: 6,500 miles on tires
This is the first car Ive ever owned in which I plan to replace the tires with the OEM tire. Absolutely phenomenal dry traction and splendid wet traction to boot. Today very heavy rains came and flash floods took control of most of the city. I was very worried but had absolutely no troubles negotiating the deep waters with these tires. In the dry, the tire just doesnt budge. I push the car more each day and have yet to break traction in the dry. Steady state corning holds well and if you dive to deep into a turn traction is quickly regained. I absolutely love these tires.
