Follow-Up Review: 1,200 miles on tires

after more driving in snow and ice, at somewhat warmer temperatures than the 10-20 degrees, I found that driving in the snow around 32-35 degrees the tire seemed to do better, even in deeper snow. No illusions here but I got through about 4-6 inches of unplowed snow going up and down hills and around corners, driving very responsible and reasonable, without issue. My vehicle has good awd system and locking diffs which I was playing with also. I did notice on the highway in puddles and slush it hydroplanes and snowplanes easily. Still probably wont buy again but performed more fairly in snow than I originally reviewed and wrote. Please note that this review was done incorrectly, I have the Bridgestone Dueler 400 on my HL even though TR does not list this as OE. V
Initial Review: 1,000 miles on tires

The tire is pretty average all around. Decent handling on dry pavement and steering responsiveness and good stability cornering. Everything else is just average and uninspiring. THe snow and ice handling is below average for an all season. Plenty of slipping and the TRAC control and VSC come on regularly due to what seems like a hard compound, a tread design with no siping and smaller spacing in the tread blocks. It does not compare to the Michelin LTX I had on my older Highlander in terms of all season performance. I will likely purchase those again before next winter or maybe the Continental Cross Contact LX 20.
