Initial Review: 10,000 miles on tires
March 25, 2013

I live in Pittsburgh and considered buying a new car because my Accord handled so poorly in the snow, that I would put my life on hold during the winter. I refused to commit to anything, and I wouldn't schedule activities during the evenings for fear of snow. But of course I still had to drive to work. I couldn't even make it up my driveway unless it was completely cleared of snow before. I saw the reviews on the Blizzaks and decided they were worth the expense. While I still hate the snow, my confidence driving in it has increased tremendously. I now no longer spend my entire day worrying about how I'll make it home from work. I really don't even need to clear the driveway unless we get over 3 of snow (it's a sloped uphill driveway). It also handles better in rain than my all season tires. So after three seasons, including our 4 snowfall on March 25th, they're still treating me kindly. Not sure whether they'll make it another full season next year, but these have lasted longer than my last snow tires and are infinitely better.
