Initial Review, 5,000 Miles on Tires
Bridgestone once again doesn't disappoint. The snow traction of these tires is unbelievable, making my car completely mountain storm ready and eliminating the need to stop and put on chains (the HWY patrol makes you do that out here in CA if you don't have real snow tires). I've driven the tires on icy roads, light and deep snow. They excel with their level of deep snow traction. They offer great straight line traction in stops and starts, and track well on the turns too. As with any dedicated snow tire, they are a bit squishy, but the dry road responsiveness of the WS70s has been improved over the previous generations (WS60s and WS50s). They wear fast on dry roads though, so if it isn't going to be cold and snowy for a some time, I recommend you take them off your car to save the tires.
