Follow-Up Review: 5,000 miles on tires

I've now been through three snow storms with these tires. I have to admit that the SNOW traction on the Firestone Winterforce tires was BETTER. I seem to spin out from a take off much more on the Blizzaks than I did the Winterforce tires. However, ice traction seems better on the Blizzaks. The Blizzaks also remain much quieter and do very well on dry and wet surfaces. Treadwear after about 5k of use is even and doesn't seem excessive.
Initial Review: 300 miles on tires

I had the Winterforce tire from Firestone on a dedicated set of rims. I had Blizzaks in the past, but couldn't pass the price up on the Winterforce tires. After 25k of use, I pulled them and replaced them with the Blizzak WS70's. Wow! Much, MUCH quieter and smoother. Traction on dry and wet roads is better. I haven't tested them in the snow; however, if they are like the ones I had in the past, they will be great.

The winterforce tires wore evenly and I believe I had another 15k left in them. They were just terribly loud and not smooth. Further wet and dry traction was not good.

Spring is about here, so the summer tires/rims go back on soon. I'll be anxious to try these out again next winter.
