Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires Originally put a set of earlier model Blizzak high-performance tires (LM45?) on this car, and have since up-dated them to the LM-60's. I chose to up-grade the stock 16" tires and wheels to 18", primarily for aesthetic purposes, but also to get a size of this tire that would fit our car. We run them year-around. We live at 3200' in the Sierra foothills, and the road to our property is 2 miles long, steep, and not maintained or plowed. Other than in winter, the tires on not really stressed - no real high speed driving or hard cornering, so they are very adequate for our needs. In winter, however, they are a ----send! Excellent traction in up to 15" of snow, and pretty decent in ice, as well - though they do have their limits. We are now giving this Forester to our granddaughter, and have just purchased a new Forester. We are ordering a set of LM-60's for it, as well, and will continue to use them as our full-time, year-round tire of choice. Perfect for our area, and for this car!
