Initial Review, 500 Miles on Tires
Unbelievable! Thank you Bridgestone for creating this tire. For summer, I use the Continental LX20 - 20" set up for my truck - I tried them in the first snow fall of the year and they were VERY scary - truck wandered driving straight and slide while turning - had to engage 4WD the whole trip. I took my stock wheels, threw on some DM-V1's, and POOF - magic happened! I turned off 4WD to test the response to slush and ice. The truck DID NOT MOVE! My road is one of those where the city cleans off the snow with a Zamboni and leaves the ice nice and shiny underneath. So I figured I would test the tires and see if I could break them loose... you can't! In 2WD you can get a bit of slide just for a moment and then the tire reminds you they are winter tires and they got this! Re grip engaged and on I went, frustrated in my inability to do a donut for the first winter in 10 years. The responsible side of me came out and let my wife try them out - she admitted she could feel a big difference in this tire when compared to the Continental all-season tires. This is the first winter on these tires, so I will follow up with tread wear scores when I measure them this spring.
