The best winter driving setup in my 40 years of driving in snow. Just a little squirm, but the pay off in snow/ice traction is overwhelming. In snow I literally need to learn to be empathetic to the unfortunate people around me driving on normal tires. Leave from a light, look in the mirror and all the Suburbans and Explorers on all season tires are still spinning and churning through the intersection. Start to slow down and watch the Prius behind you panic as the antilock system begs for traction. I much prefer this type of tire to a more performance oriented snow tire. (Do your research on the various Blizzak compounds). Absolutely transformative to the Touareg. Driving home in 6 inches of new snow is now fun not fearful! If you drive one of these, or a Q7 or A Cayenne, you're going to go through 4-5 sets of tires. Dedicated snows just make sense.
