Initial Review, 6,000 Miles on Tires
July 02, 2012

I bought my 2003 F150 Heritage Edition about a year ago, and it had Michelin tires on it. I knew they were pretty worn when I bought the truck, so I started looking for new tires. I found the Michelins were the wrong size - they were 265-70s instead of the 275-65 size they were supposed to be! No wonder the speedo read wrong! Anyway, I wound up getting the Goodrich Long Trail T/A tires, and have never regretted it. I've put about 6,000 miles on them so far, and I can't see any measurable wear. Tey are quiet, ride reasonably well (it's a truck after all!), handle well and have excellent traction, wet or dry. They're probably not the greatest choice for ice or snow, but that's not that much of a problem for me here in North Carolina, thank goodness!
After reading all the reviews here, I can only assume that Goodrich designed these tires expressly for Ford owners. Practically all the Ford people here love these tires, with other makes ranging i their opinions from ambivalent to pure hatred. For whatever reason the Japanese makes especially don't seem to do well with these tires.
So, if you have a Ford product, I would definitely recommend these tires. Otherwise, well, you're on your own.
