Follow-Up Review: 5,000 miles on tires
October 20, 2011
Well, I still have these tires after 5000mi. I am very sensitive to my vehicles and enjoy sprited driving as this Turbo SS was designed for. A summary for these tires on this vehicle- these tires have no vibrations on the highway as the stock MXM4's had a slight shimmy. Yes, as others have said, these are noisy- especially on smooth roads. The noise is just starting to get irritating in the highway. These tires are also quite stiff ( you will feel and hear every road bump) but turn-in is super crisp. These tires still perform and feel better than the stock MXM4's from spring to fall (minus the noise). A quick note- if your only goal is to have your tires get the most mileage out of them as possible- these are not for you.
Initial Review: 2,000 miles on tires

yes, these KDW's are noisy tires but not too bad, mostly on real smooth roads. Compared to my previous Conti extreme DW, these almost handle as good but squeel around turns, and taking off from a stop. I don't have as much fun driving anymore with all the squeeling. These tires grip way less in the rain. The KDW's don't handle the 310hp any better either. Too bad I wasted money on these tires. I'm selling them and going back to the Conti Extreme DW as they can take anything you can throw at them and don't complain a bit!
