Initial Review, 60 Miles on Tires
July 29, 2014

Ok, I just got these tires so this is my very initial experience with them. I got them because the Michelin tires on my wife's car had gotten so noisy and wanted something other than Michelin's as the last 2 sets had done the same thing (very noisy after 12K miles. We had more than 12K on both sets of course but had to deal with the noise for a long time. Bad thing is I read the reviews here for the first time a few minutes ago about this tire being noisy so I hope I haven't got into the same situation again. However, driving on these Goodyear's so far has been pleasant and very quiet. They have a soft ride even with the tire pressure at 35lbs here in the North Carolina in July. News flash for some of you. Don't expect any tire to live up to it's warranty. I used to love Michelins but they ain't what they used to be. Oh, those old X-Radial tires were wonderful but not so much the newer styles I've experienced. A couple years ago I picked up a young guy who ran out of gas fresh out of the military. He was heading home up north. His father had worked for Michelin and he told me the same thing, that they weren't what they once were. I don't know that I'm better off buying these yet than with a Michelin but from my past experience I definitely don't think I'm worse off. I'll report again when I have some real miles on them. Good luck in your selection.

Initial Review, 7,000 Miles on Tires
July 30, 2014

Bought these to replace my "m" spec'd continentals that I swore lasted at best 8,000 miles. Great tire for dry traction, decent for rain but the tread life on these tires were even worse than the continentals, (7,000 miles) Now it's just the rears I'm talking about the fronts are still at 50%. This car is driven by my wife and is driven very easy so I can't blame the driving style. In the end I bought 2 rears yesterday because I wouldn't buy miss matched tires so I think I'll get another 8,000 out of the fronts and by then these super sports will need replaced again. I do think M3's eat rear tires thou. I'm looking to replace my viper tires soon and will more than likely go with super sports also.
