New Yokohama Tire for 2010.

Friday, May 28, 2010 by Steve Huffman

Earlier this year Yokohama rolled out their new high performance all-season tire, the Yokohama AVID ENVigor. Yokohama calls it a grand performance tire which they say has a good mix of all season performance, ultra-low rolling resistance, a comfortable ride and long tread life.

As for the all season performance, we'll have to wait and see how well they actually do in the snow but when I drove on this tire the other day, they seemed to have very good dry traction. I currently own a set of the Yokohama AVID H4S on our Nissan Murano. This tire is a direct replacement to the H4S, which we were very happy with.

Yokohama says the AVID ENVigor gets its increased fuel efficiency from its all-new silica rubber compound without sacrificing traction.

It's offered in an H-, V- and W-speed rating, with a 45,000 mile tread life warranty on the W-rated tires and a 60,000 mile tread life warranty on the H- and V-rated tires. Yokohama is offering their new flagship tire in many sizes, so there is one sure to fit your car.
