Best All-Season Tires for a Ford Mustang

Tuesday, November 8, 2011 by Steve Huffman
With the release of the 2005 Ford Mustang, the modern muscle car era was essentially reborn. Today we now have several modern Detroit horsepower options to go with the Mustang, like the new Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. But with so many Mustangs on the road, I constantly get asked, "What's the best all-season tire for the Mustang?"

The 2005-2009 V6 Coupe, was equipped with 215-65-16 tires. My favorite tire for this application is the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring. This tire has superior all-season traction, great handling and an 80,000 mile tread life warranty. It is as advertised and offers one of the most comfortable rides you can find in a set of Mustang tires.

For the 2005-2009 GT models, most were equipped with the tire size 235-55-17. For this size, I prefer the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. They are W speed rated, so they offer awesome handling and have excellent all-season traction. As you might expect from Michelin, they provide a very quiet ride and come with a 45,000 mile tread life warranty. And if you're looking for Michelin tires best price, check out our wide selection of Michelin products.
