Affordable Tires from Kumho

Do I dare use the dreaded words....."cheap tires"?  Why settle for "cheap" when you can select a quality tire that can be well suited for your vehicle.  Sure, there is always going to be some of what we call "get what you pay for" in selecting tires.  However, while you may want the premium brands for your vehicle to get the very "best of the best", there are some alternates that still work well and, while they don't rate as high on the charts as brands like Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli, or Goodyear, they will still provide an excellent alternative to save a few dollars while making your financially conservative decision.

KR21

A popular choice for the small SUV, Mini-van or "family sedan" that provides long tread life with a comfortable ride:
Kumho Solus KR21

A long lasting tire for someone looking for a little more handling capability for a more responsive feel:
Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum

For the driver wanting more performance and traction levels
Kumho Ecsta AST

For the driver with the sportier car looking for better levels of handling and performance while still wanting some ice and snow capability:
Kumho Ecsta ASX

Want performance, but have no need for ice and snow traction:
Kumho Ecsta SPT

Do you see occasional track time and/or want as much grip as you can without buying a dedicated race tire?
Kumho Ecsta XS

Be sure to complete your due diligence in selecting tires.  If you're looking to buy on a budget, Kumho makes some great tires that, although they won't hang with the "big dogs", you can still leave the porch while still selecting a tire that keeps your budget in line.

Should I replace my original equipment tires?

Thursday, July 9, 2009 by Sonny Mueller
For many, the original equipment tires will work very well for the owner's driving style and environment.  There are times when you may want a tire that better fits your driving style and conditions.  Here are some questions to ask yourself when thinking about that next purchase.  What is most important to you?

Fuel mileage
Longevity (tread wear)
Dry handling
Wet traction
Snow and ice traction

Not one tire can "do it all", so rank what is most important to you and help tailor that next set of tires to you.
