Excellent tire for street performance cars. It is a quiet tire with a smooth ride yet handles as well as many track tires. The break-away is predictable and forgiving. It isn't a drag radial but provides great straight line traction for a supercharged car with 612 horsepower to the tires. No complaints in any areas and definitely would buy again.

Boy O Boy this is a great tire! Just Replaced some worn out Yokohama Geolanders and my Element is a totally different car. Smooth, very quiet, handles well, and I can now carry on a conversation driving down the road. I purchased them based on Tire Rack reviews and they were spot on. Highly recommend this tire!

On tread design alone, I'd not try these in the snow, as my experience with uni-directional tires is that they don't perform in snow. To me, the M+S designation means the rubber compound stays pliable and resistant to cracking in cold temps (whereas summer tires don't do well below 40 deg. Farenheit) and would stay pliable and soft enough to deal with cold, rainy weather (the worst kind of rain is cold rain, as the tire hardens). These tires are razor sharp when it comes to handling, and given the good tread wear, it's about as good as it gets for a balance of very high performance and tread life, which still be usable in cold weather (not snow).

For aggressive drivers, or ones that hit tracks now and then and can dance a car on the limit, these will suffice, but in NO WAY are they the kind of summer tire you would really want if you wanted a sole-purpose tire designed to be glued to the road and be completely surprise free at cornering limits. But then again, this tire will last, and be usable in the cold weather.

The DWS is in a different league as the original Michelin. While the DWS is slightly noisier than the OEM Michelin, it more than makes up for it in how much better it absorbs bumps and shocks to the wheel. Also, with the Michelin's, even though the TLS is all wheel drive I could easily spin the tires while shifting in to 2nd gear and could shake them loose coming out of tight turns (upon acceleration) I could not make these Continental tires break loose under the same conditions. The Continentals are cheaper and have been a best buy for me for the TL AWD. Also, the Michelin's were horrible in snow. I actually have to use snow tires to get anywhere. While I expect these Continental's to perform better than the Michelin's in light snow, I already have a dedicated set of snow tires that have the sever snowflake rating for the heart of winter.

This set replaced a set of RE01R's. I drive them very aggressively in the east Tenn/NC mountains. Incredible traction off the line and in the corners. Have been caught out in deluges without problem. After sitting for a while they do need a few miles to even out. I've pretty much worn them down to slicks after 5000 miles but I expect that with my driving style with these tires. I am ordering another set. I do have a set of more "reasonable " all season tires for daily/off season driving. My car is supercharged with moderate suspension upgrades.

I got this tires back in the fall and have driven little over 8,000 miles on them. 60/40 highway/city driving. Right away I noticed these tires grip the road incredibly well. Of course a new tire is going to be better than your old tire with no tread left. But I think because these tires are brand new from Firestone the rubber was very soft, which gives it the great grip on the road. I would almost categorize these as summer tires, but they did perform well this past crazy winter in Chicago.
There is one HUGE negative about these tires though, my MPG has gone WAY down. I mean by 5mpg down! That is a lot. Everything else about these tires are great, but because of the mpg loss I would not buy again and would not recommend these unless you don't care about money at the pump.

This is a phenomenal tire. It combines excellent grip and handling with decent ride quality. They are very quiet, especially for low profile tires. These tires replaced the Bridgestone RE050a Runflat tires that originally came with my car. They are much better than the RE050a tires in every way. They last about as long as you'd expect a high performance summer tire to last. I am on my second set of s04s - I like them that much! Highly recommended.

I bought these as a replacement for the used 1996 Miata, I bought on ebay in 2008
(installed at 122,000 and currently 155,000 [2014] - expecting another 15,000 miles). Very happy, great in the wet and never caught in snow, but I don'yt drive it in snow deeper than 6 inches. I don't race in the rain, but I feel confortable doing 65 on the Turnpike. Going to get another set if the car lasts that long !!

The Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tire is much better than the Potenza RE92A OE tire, and worthy of an early switch. The difference is night and day. I have a 2013 Subaru Legacy that I really like, but over the course of 32,000 miles I grew accustomed to feeling a rigid almost jolting ride as well as all the road imperfections Texas has to offer. The vehicle has now been transformed. I noticed an immediate improvement in braking, highway performance, steering response, quietness, acceleration, and even driving over speed bumps. My mileage also went up by about 1 MPG, and every little bit helps. I currently have almost 3,000 miles on the set and highly recommend. They seem to be wearing exceptionally well. I chose these over the Michelins due to other customer ratings, and the overall cost/value. I will also say that the car can easily accommodate a larger size if you want to fill up the wheel wells and gain a little more ground clearance; I opted for the 235/50R17. As grand touring all season tires they have nice curb appeal as well -dressing up the vehicle.

This is an awesome tire. Michelin has really come up with an upgrade with the offset tread pattern. It is giving us very good wear, cornering, and wet and dry traction, ride and they look great too.

What a difference this tire is from the fairly worn set of Yokohama all seasons. Superior wet, cold, and snow traction. In 40 -45 degree F temps, the Yokohama’s would constantly be calling the traction control system into action. The Pirelli Sottozero 3’s almost never activate the traction control in the dry and only under heavy load in the wet. I have an open diff so snow and ice causes the DSC to blink often, but the overall performance in these conditions is wonderful. These tires really bite well in the corners. Always inspire confidence in any condition. I have the V rated version and they feel like a winter performance tire should. Not as crisp in the corners as a summer tire, but perfect for Chicago winter conditions.

Just had these mounted last week so very few miles; I have a bit of vibration over 60--nothing terrible--but the car definitely needs an alignment before I can say too much.
Overall I am pleased. I was concerned about poor steering response more than anything based on a few reviews, but with mostly highway driving, I think these tires are the ticket:
Quiet
Supple ride
Few steering inputs required to keep it straight
Very good wet weather performance
Good dry traction
Good steering response

I'll add further reviews as the miles build; to this point I'd day this is the tire perfect for my driving needs.

I can't comment on how they drive in the snow, my SRT stays inside during the winter months. As for summer driving and wet conditions these tires do great. I race on the track and on road courses and the tire traction is great on both. I can easily take corners at high speeds and turns pretty nicely at decent speeds such as 60 mph and if you push it a little faster. They handle very well at speeds well above 100 mph also.

Do I have to Put Run-Flat Tires on My BMW?

When it comes to tires for a BMW, many aren't pleased with the harsh ride and short treadlife of the Original Equipment run-flat tires. However, many owners are unsure if they're able to make the switch to a standard tire. The answer is not as difficult as you might think.

BMWs can make the switch to non-run-flat tires, the same is true when switching to dedicated winter tires. It's important to note that in most cases, the vehicle did not come with a spare tire. If you decide to make the switch to non-run-flat tires, a road hazard would leave you stranded on the side of the road without a spare to put on the car.

A solution to this issue is to purchase the Continental ContiComfortKit. The kit is capable of comfortably sealing typical tire punctures, making it possible for you to complete the drive home, to work or to a tire repair facility. It combines a powerful, high-volume, 12-volt air compressor, integral pressure gauge and a latex liquid tire sealant packaged in a compact, lightweight unit that's easy to store in a vehicle.

Another option worth considering is buying a full-size matching spare tire and wheel. Going this route essentially creates a set of five tires that will last longer than just four. Great tire, feels like OE on dry pavement, soft and plyable under freezing conditions but firms up on hiway and over 40 degrees. Only got stuck twice in snow over 5" deep (my fault) Better on ice than deep snow. Treadwear is what you would expect from a winter tire. Might get 4 seasons out of them if you take them off as soon as the temp stays over 45 degrees. Pricey, but the $70.00 rebate helps.

Make Sure Your Wheels Are Properly Torqued

The winter season is coming to an end, and for many, that means their warm weather tires and wheels are being installed. It's also the start of race season where tire and wheel changes are frequent. Making sure your car's wheels are properly torqued to the vehicle's specifications and pattern are critical. These torque specifications can be found in your vehicle's owner's manual, shop repair manual or obtained from the dealership.

It is important to make sure your threads are free of dirt, grit and other materials in order to achieve a proper torque. Do not apply anti-seize compound to the lug hardware or studs. This can result in inaccurate torque readings and/or over torquing of the hardware.

Once the lugs are snugged down by hand, finish tightening them with an accurate torque wrench. Use the appropriate crisscross sequence (shown below) for the number of wheel lugs on your vehicle until all have reached their proper torque value. If you over torque a wheel, you can strip a lug nut or hub, stretch or break a stud or bolt and cause the wheel, brake rotor and/or brake drum to distort.

           
When installing new wheels, you should re-torque the wheel lugs after driving the first 50 to 100 miles in case the clamping loads have changed following the initial installation. This is necessary due to the possibility of metal compression/elongation or thermal stresses affecting the wheels as they are breaking in, as well as to verify the accuracy of the original installation. When rechecking torque value, wait for the wheels to cool to ambient temperature (never torque a hot wheel). Loosen and retighten to value, in sequence. Simply repeat the same torque procedure listed above.
