Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 - newer is better

We just tested the new Sumitomo HTR A/S P01. Preliminary tire test results show a marked improvement in all areas compared to its predecessor, the Sumitomo HTR +.

Biggest area of performance improvement is wet grip.

I have a 2006 Lexus GS300 and im thinking of replacing the OEM with HTR A/S PO1 P225 55 HR17.. Will this size fit the stock rims?

225/55-17 will fit on your 7.5" wide rim but it's little tall for the car so there's a risk they may rub. Keep in mind that whether or not you have rubbing depends on a number of factors such as: 1) suspension modifications and/or suspension wear 2) road conditions 3) aftermarket wheel offset 4) tire tread width 5) the amount of load the vehicle is carrying (EG vehicle does not rub with just the driver but rubs with people in the back seat). So we will be a little conservative in our recommendations to avoid any rubbing. If you want to run a tall size that's a little bigger than what we've test fit, we can offer it to you as a "custom fit." A custom fit is size or part that you can test fit but not drive on. If it turns out the part is not compatible then within 30 days you can call us and request an RA# to return for credit less freight. If you wish to try custom fit size, I would also would recommend getting anectodal feedback from other Lexus GS300 drivers at one of the internet forums for your car. An internet forum is an online club where owners their of a particular vehicle can share information about problems, modifications, upgrades etc. I would recommend going to one of the below forums, registering to the forum and searching the forum to see if anyone has successfully ran this size without rubbing. If you can't find the information by searching you, then you can post your own question on the forum. I suggest starting at the below forums: www.clublexus.com Cy
