This is my second-set of these tires, and they are outstanding for day-to-day use. But, they are pretty-good on spirited drives through winding mountain roads around the San Francisco Bay Area. I take them off in the summer, bout sometimes I only get them off in August through the end-of-October in order to wear my Michelin 19"-ers. My wet-month tires are the 18"ers. Since I rotate from 18-to-19's, I am not totally sure about the mileage, and I rotate tires religously-- but they seam to wear forever. I have tried Pirelli, Dunlop, and the Yok's. But these are by far the best tires I have ever had

Picked up these tires to supplement the Hankook OE tires. Bought as take-offs from a F-350 with less than 50 miles on them. These are very nice tires that wear extremely well.

These tires are substantially better than the OE tires which are still periodically in service. But then comparing P radials with LT radials isn't fair.

After 5 Illinois winters and 5 snowy trips to MN in December, these are shot, but they have served their purpose. No accidents, no property damage, and strong piece of mine when driving on them. We are ready to purchase another set of the same, almost time to swap out for the 20's, summer is finally almost here. It's been a VERY long winter, and we've beaten our all-time snowfall record by almost 5" this year. Measurable snowfall 41 days this winter, also a record. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone with an SUV, and one of my friends has them on his CTS-V as well, and has been surprised by snowfall, and it's controllable with these tires as well.

put these on and drove from Austin to Boise and back before breaking them in. The trip included 90 degree dry pavement, rain, sleet, ice, deep offroad snow (to the bell housing), offroad dirt and mud, and highway snow (shallow 1-2"). Drove them through an ice storm up ramps with large trucks and 4x4's with normal street tires stuck. the most remarkable thing is my AWD system has not kicked in since i've put these tires on! impressive. I will definitely buy these again. Oh yeah, and I get 1-2 mpg more than my stock tires gave me. nice...

I have been pleased with the Pirelli Scorpion STR tires. They have worn very well and I have not had any issues with them. I have several puncture repairs though so I recently replaced the Pirelli's with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus tires. The Bridegestones have a better ride, but only time will tell if these wear as well as the Pirelli's did.

Continental has brought their Streetable Track & Competition tire, the ContiForceContact, over from Europe. Developed at the world famous Nürburgring circuit, the ContiForceContact is built to deliver extremely high levels of dry traction along with precise steering response and predictable cornering behavior. It is designed to allow driving on the street, though caution should be taken when driving in heavy rain. While it is built to resist hydroplaning, the tire is not recommended for high-speed driving on extremely wet roads/tracks with standing water where there is the risk of hydroplaning.

The ContiForceContact competes with other Streetable Track & Competition tires such as the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup and Pirelli P Zero Corsa System. It offers exceptional performance at the track while allowing drivers to drive to and from the track without changing their wheels and tires. With a treadwear rating of 80, the ContiForceContact isn't intended for long service on the road. The tire would work best on a set of wheels used for track days and performance driving events, or on a second car that is driven primarily for fun. 

ContiForceContact tires are molded with approximately 6/32" of tread depth in their grooves and are left unshaved for use on damp tracks. While the tires do not require shaving for dry track use, their durability and lap time performance will improve if shaved to approximately 4/32" deep tread to begin competitive road racing/track use in dry conditions, however this will sacrifice treadlife.

Tires are basically brand new but from the minute I got in the car and drove away I knew I made the best decision I could have buying these tires. We immediately took a trip from our town of St. Michaels Md. to Washington D C and it was pure bliss. The car felt, and sounded, like a new car again. Absolutely the best tire I have ever rolled on. Quiet, and I mean quiet, comfortable, and responsive to every urging of the steering wheel.
I obviously can not comment on tread wear yet but I am pretty confident, well, hopefull. It would be a shame if the tread wear was lacking when everything else about this tire is so stellar.
Response was great. The car responded immediately to the steering wheel, not having the usual delay of new tires with the increased tread squirm delay. Driving in D C can be a challenge at times and one is often forced to make some very last minute decisions and moves in traffic and as always I was forced to execute several of these and the tires performed like a Dall Sheep high in the Rockies, so sure footed and always under complete control. I expect them to only get better with a little break in. My wife could even tell a difference and believe me, if she noticed a difference, there is a BIG difference. She also commented on the quietness of the tires, so again, big difference.
These are the very first Pirelli tires we have ever had and I have to say, we are very impressed.

245/45R20 - Great tire for winter weather, which we have had a boatload of this year. The tire takes the worry right out of bad weather commuting. It cuts right through the snow and slush and seems to offer a decent grip on glare ice. Coupled with the car's AWD, it's like I'm driving a rally car/tank when other cars around me struggle to move. I probably drive with too much confidence, to be honest. The dry performance sees a reduction in steering precision and ultimate dry traction, which is standard for a winter tire. The noise is also somewhat elevated due to the open block design and high sipe density. I purchased a second set of these for my wife's SUV, which now enjoys the same benefits.

My car came with a set of the equivalent Continentals when I got my 2009 Volvo XC70 T6. The Pirellis are superior in every respect. First off, the Continentals only lasted 25,000 miles. I now have the same mileage on the Pirellis and have MUCH tread left on them. The Pirellis are also MUCH, MUCH better than the Continentals on light snow, slush, and ice. PLUS, the Pirellis are quieter and ride better.

The Subaru's all-wheel drive probably played a big part but these Pirellis are so far the best winter tires I've tried. Even better than Bridgestone Blizzaks that I've had on other Subarus, which themselves were excellent winter tires. The Pirellis have fantastic grip on packed snow and slush. The only time I experienced slight wheel spin was on glare ice. I also commend Tire Rack on their quickness of delivery. It usually took a few days on previous orders but this time I placed my order early afternoon one day and UPS delivered the following day. Can't get any better than that.

These tires have amazing grip. I purchased these in the late fall shortly after the first snowfalls this year. The OEM all-season tires would just slide when stopping with any snow cover. These tires stop and accelerated in snow as if it were dry pavement. My only complaint would be some additional road noise on dry pavement, but that is a small price to pay for good winter tires. I purchased the tires and rims together. The total cost for the package was less than my insurance deductible, which I figured would have been used if I kept the OEM tires on for the winter.

Purchased these tires thru TireRack to replace the P Zero Nero's on the X3 when I bought it used. (96K miles, now at 103K after 4 months!) We took the X on a 1200-mile road trip with the Pirellis still on it, then changed to the PA31s just before the winter driving season. (Oregon allows AWD passenger vehicles with M&S tires to opt out of chains when otherwise required, but I wanted new, deep tread to feel comfortable!) Driving away from the tire shop after the changeover, the difference in the feel became apparent at the curb, pulling onto the street/highway. Literally. The ride with the M Sport package was expected to be firm, even downsized to 235/50-18, but with the Pirellis it was still pretty jarring. This tire was instantly more comfortable, both from a ride and noise standpoint. Road trip to San Diego (2000 miles R/T) was very smooth, and the tires were equally at home at 80 on the freeway and through sweeping curves. Absolutely no tramlining on grooved pavement, which we hit several times on that trip. The first snow of the year was followed by very cold air, which kept snow on the ground for a week -- very unusual for this area, but a great chance to try out the tire and the AWD on the X3. Both excellent in over 6" of snow. Not Blizzaks, to be sure, but I was pleasantly surprised with test stops, up to activating the ABS. Haven't measured tread depth after 6K miles but still look and feel very good. I was nervous about buying Kumho for this demanding an application, but have since bought a set for my son's Subaru, and will consider for other vehicles as well. Pretty unbeatable for the money.

I went from having 18" Pirelli PZero Nero's to buying a 16" rim with these Kumho Sense tires and the difference couldn't have been greater. With the 18's road noise was almost unbearable. You almost couldn't carry on a conversation and the noise was even present at low speeds. Now the cabin is silent. With the 18's any amount of snow meant I was going nowhere. I would get stuck in a parking spot with less than an inch of snow. I almost couldn't turn and acceleration had to be done extremely slowly. Now wherever I point the steering wheel is where I go. I don't have to worry about sliding off the road or getting stuck in a parking spot. These kumho's have even improved my mpg. Before I was getting around 28-30mpg now I'm hitting high 30's. My only regret is waiting so long to downsize my rims. I also want to thank tirerack for the awesome service. I ordered my tire/rim combo on a Saturday and received them on Tuesday. They were shipped right to my door premounted and balanced. All I had to do was bolt them on. I checked with my local tireshop to see what it would cost for the same product and their quote was $200 more. I am definitely going to be doing business again with tirerack. You've just gained a customer for life.

I have a 2011 F-150 supercab 4x4 with the 5.0, i have the 275-55-20's. I got over 66,000 miles on these tires. They were awesome until about 45,000 miles then seemed to lose their traction in the rain. they are very quiet and resist punctures. I had them rotated every 5000 miles with my oil changes by the ford dealer. They are way better then the good years which are so loud they will give you a headache. they have outlasted any other tire i have ever owned. They are better then any other tire on dry pavement, but the BF Goodrich all terrain t/a's are much better in the sand and mud if you can take the noise. The only down fall is the price.

Replaced the oem Michelins at 44,000 miles. I put on the Continental Extreme ContactDWS tires which were good, but only lasted 35,000 miles and were rotated every 7,000 miles and became loud after 30,000 miles. I now have the Pirelli's and they are far superior to the Continentals and Michelins. We had a bad winter with a lot of snow and some ice, best tire I have ever had for an all season tire, I am thrilled. I expect them to last better than the Continentals. These tires are very quiet so far and handling is fine, these are not for racers, but these are the best commuter tires I have owned. I have had 90 cars in my lifetime, and these tires truly impress me. I have not seen any fuel economy benefit relative to the other tires I have had on this car, but the car now has some miles and age to it. Strongly recommend these tires.

I bought this tire after reading reviews off tirerack.com All i gotta say is this tire exceeds my expectations. I live in minnesota so i drove through rain,shine,snow and so far its a improvement over the previous kumho kr21 and uniroyal tigerpaw touring. Where the tire really shine is wet and snow traction over the previous tires Ive had. Wet roads are confident with little to no spinoff unless heavy throttle is applied. Snow traction is great i can actually hear and feel it biting over 3-6 inches of snow covered roads. I am a lot more confident driving this van now in the winter than ever before. Noise levels are reasonably low and steering is quick and precise i can take an off ramp going over 30mph with "NO" tire squealing problem whatsoever. Overall this tire well worth the money and makes my van goes where ever i want it to with no worry.

Most reviews of the P Zero tire seem to come from owners of sporty cars and from residents of northern states (why? this tire is not for winter driving!). Here in Florida, on our VW Tiguan we get the performance and traction we expect, though wet surfaces do slightly challenge this tire. At 48K miles I estimate we still have 10K left on the tread. Overall, a tire that lives up to our expectations of a summer tire.

These tires are excellent for winter-rated rubber on dry and wet roads, with progressive and predictable traction loss as you approach their limit while cornering. They are plenty capable of propelling my Subaru Legacy 2.5GT through over a foot of snow, although they are obviously aided by the AWD system's viscous limited slip differentials in this task. At speed, they maintain traction and stability through slush and shallow snow on the road.

On light snow and ice, they brake well but not as well as a fully dedicated snow/winter tire. This is to be expected, however, as these are designed for performance cars in areas with milder winters, where snows happens but infrequently. The trade off is far superior dry and wet traction than fully dedicated winter tires, with handling and braking comparable to some summer tires. Steering response compared to a summer tire is noticeably slower, due to the softer winter rubber compound.

Regardless, these will allow you to enjoy your car throughout the winter months without sacrificing much of the handling, braking, and cornering enjoyed on summer tires during the rest of the year. I highly recommend them, and they are a great deal for the price.

this is the oem tire on my car. i will be probably at least shopping for a stickier tire but i just got back from laguna secs for an Abarth track day event (comes free with the car if you're looking for an excuse to buy an abarth) where i drove a standard abarth on standard brakes and tires and the tires gripped wonderfully. i could easily predict and feel the understeer and then feed on the power more correctly. the only time i was ever out of line was more my fault than the tires' and after feeling them maneuver that corkscrew with aplomb, i can safely say these tires are top notch and they kept me on the track, which is more than i can say of other tires, and they are quite talkative (you know when they're going to break away they begin to howl and you feel the slip happen but careful throttle modulation keeps grip easily).
