Had Pirelli P Zero same size tires which was original equipment for this vehicle.
The Pirelli's had to be replaced at 24,000 miles with a little life left but started to wear down the center as well as overall tread depth.

The Michelin AST 3 Sport are quieter, corner better and are overall sure footed on wet pavement.

I'm keeping up with tire pressure, rotation and balancing (coming up) as I did with the Pirelli's but I am hoping that I will get 45,000 miles out of them as rated.

I bought a set of these tires back on July 2013. The tires have now 10k miles already, and even after the fact that my car literally "eats" tires for breakfast, the tires are still holding and I think I can extract another 1-2k miles from them (on the rears, the fronts still have thread for more than that). I tried everything on the market: Hankook Ventus V12s, Bridgestones Potenzas RE970s, Pirelli P-zeroes, Yoko Advans, and nothing came close to the excellent combination of performance, thread wear, road noise and stickiness of the PSS. I definitely recommend these tires to anyone.

I bought these tires to replace the Kumho Ecsta's that wore out after just 30,000 miles. We went on a vacation the week we bought the tires and after 1000 miles of mixed driving in a one week period I could not be more satisfied with this purchase. The Ecsta's were very noisy, not a issue around town but after 5 hours at 80MPH it became very tiring, the P7's on the other hand were very quite and after driving 300 miles non-stop there was no noise induced fatigue. The rolling resistance on the P7's is so low that I also picked up 4MPG combined. The one complaint that I could have about the tires is actually a great complement, they took a little time to get used to as the turn in is much sharper and there is very little push in hard corners. I truly can not believe that a tire with a 700 treadwear rating can perform this well, I can now understand why it is rated at #1. I am looking forward to the next 60,000 miles to see how these do in the day to day.

These came oem on my mercedes. I have read bad reviews however so far these have been great tires. I can't rotate them due to difference size wheels front and rear. Tires are quiet and tread wear has been great thus far. No need to rebalance them or get an alignment yet. Very happy since the day I bought the car last July.

I looked for a few weeks for a good tire that will be able to put up with my aggresive driving and be smooth and quite. I FOUND IT... The Pirelli Centruno P7 All Season Plus is the perfect match for me. I drove it through pouring rain and hot dry days and both the time the tire out perfomed by old noisy GoodYear Eagle GT tires. The nose level is amazing.. it feels like my car is not even making contact with road. And the best part.. with my old tires I was getting 22 mpg on my current commute of 22 miles highway 8 miles city driving; however, now I get over 28 mpg... a 6+ miles improvement. I strongly recommend this tire to anyone looking for a quite touring tire. I have not tried his in snow, but can't wait until winter time.. I'll update the review at that time.

These tires are much more quiet and smoother than the OEM tires (Michelins). The tire responds marginally slower, but I this may because I have gone from 215's to 225's. I drove through torrential rain on I95 in Florida and I did not have any problems with hydroplaning. It is too early to comment on tread wear, but wear pattern is even and seems okay at this point. I would buy this tire again and recommend Tire Rack.

My Jetta Sportwagen came standard with 17" Conti ProContact tires. They were well used up by 50,000 miles. I liked the Conti tires due to good responsiveness and cornering/braking. The Contis were always quite poor in snow, but since I also have a 4x4 available, not a big issue.

The first thing I noticed with the Pirellis is the sudden quiet on the highway! It is difficult to quantify how much quieter the P7s are than those Contis, but the difference is almost shocking. The P7s are great on wet and dry roads and they still provide good feedback in corners. The P7s are obviously better in snow than my worn out tires, but better than the ProContacts ever were in snow. The P7s are NOT great in snow however, so don't think of that as a ringing endorsement. It's more of a "they don't absolutely ----." If you need snow tires, get snow tires people.

I love these P7s because of the quiet, smooth ride, great handling and feedback and somewhat improved snow performance. The P7s are just a better tire in every category in my mind. I thought the Contis were great until I got the P7s.

June 26, 2014

Well, I finally stepped up to the plate and and purchased the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus. Summer in WNY, so I cannot attest to the performance in the snow as yet. I usually switch to the Blizzacks once late Dec & Jan arrive. The Audi, with the Blizzacks is actually better than my LTZ Suburban (all-wheel drive)in the snow. I have to say, after reading all the comments (positive & negative), that I am SO please with them that I needed to write one of these comment things. They are so quite; the car rides so smooth and handles effortlessly; and there has been "zero" dip in gas mileage. In fact a shade better. I did run GY/Assurance tires on this previously. I really thought they were a good tire, and they were. Not necessarily a cheap tire either, but handled really good overall. I even have them on "the bride's" car. But, from the minute I put these Pirelli's on, all I can say is, "WoW". "It's a joy to open the car door knowing I have to take a drive". My driving range is mixed city/highway, with trips across the state and into the cities I travel. My Driving Habits for the most part are normal. However I do get a little spirited at times. I have my own cadence, and do enjoy downshifting through curves just because I can (not that I need to all the time). It just makes driving fun. The tires, playing an important roll in this experience are critical. Besides the comfort and quiet that I have gotten out of these tires, they perform extremely well. Cruising, Breaking, Gripping in Curves, Overall-performance,they are the best I have had at this point in my career. I am very pleased and wanted to share that with you. I will come back and enter my opinion when the snow flies. We all know "ice is ice" and unless you're in a tank doing 20 MPH, nothing else will stop you.I would highly recommend these tires to anyone, not that any one tire performs the same way on all cars. Safe Drive to all! No Texting; Pull over and rest if you're tired!

These tires came on my BMW 328i GT xDrive. We just had a horrific winter here in Michigan and these tires were awesome. The snow was so deep the bottom of my car was dragging and my bumper was pushing the snow, and it still never felt like it was anywhere near loosing traction or spinning. The car never feels like its searching for traction. I can't say how the tread wear is going as I haven't measured the tire, but after 11,500 miles they still look like they have nearly as much tread as when they were new. I work at a BMW dealership, and the 3 series normally come with these or the Continental ContiProContact tires. These are 100% better in the snow and wet. The have a surprisingly comfortable ride for a Run Flat tire too.

Buy this tire. Nuff said. I had the OEM Pirelli P zeron Nero's, then the Bridgestone RE970's, and then these. 110K on my car now. These are my favorites for sure; don't understand why they are less than the 970's, because I think they're better, but I love it. Just placed an order for another set now that mine are down to 3/32nds. Some of the grippiest in wet/dry I've had, as well as the absolute quietest tires I've ever had.

These tires are amazing, I bought these to replace to stock all season pirelli zero which where pretty bad, before that I had the conti dws on my bmw, and they where very good, but nothing compared to the michelins, I live in vegas so no need to worryabout snow but i wanted something with a very high tread life and good grip, im apr tuned stage 2 and sometime traction control would flash threw 3rd gear on the pirellis, and anytime i take a corner somewhat aggressively the back end would slide out, and driving with out traction control was horrible, couldnt go anywhere, these michelin tires are completely opposite, my car rids much smoother, back end is much more composed, hardly any wheel spin in 2nd gear, and now i love to drive with traction control off, especially in the summer here in vegas, once these tires heat up, they're very impressive for a all season tire, cant imagine what a extreme summer tire would be like. I would definitely buy these tires again

The factory Kuhmo Solus KH16 tires were getting pretty close to done by 40k miles. As the Kuhmos were lousy performing and obviously didn't wear well, I was looking at the Goodyear Assurance. However, the Goodyears were considerably more expensive than the Kuhmos and didn't review even as well. Then I saw the P7 as new in this size, about the same price as the Kuhmos, and decided to give them a try. (The 800AA rated Conti TruContact was not yet available in my size but might be a good comparison, albeit more expensive.)

What an upgrade! The Journey is not exactly a handling machine, but the P7s made it feel like a totally different car. Far better dry, wet and snow traction, braking and handling, much quieter and gives a better ride. The only drawback was a drop in highway mileage of about 2-3 mpg, which was somewhat surpriasing given the EcoImpact rating of the P7. Probably due to the Kuhmo compound being rock hard - and as such, sacrificing pretty much all performance qualities for a better OEM mileage rating.

It remains to be seen how the P7s wear - but if they wear well, there is no question I would by these again. Highly recommended!

Best Tires for Chevrolet Camaro

Thursday, June 12, 2014 by Zig Ziegler

The Chevrolet Camaro is one of my favorite American muscle cars. I think the car has a nice blend of old school style and new age design. Two of the most popular packages would be the RS and SS which provide optional 20" staggered tires and wheels. The Camaro RS and SS came from the factory with 245/45R20 in the front and 275/40R20 rear Pirelli P Zero Max Performance Summer tires.

When it comes to replacing tires on the Camaro, many drivers love the summer tires and look to go back to the equivalent level of grip and treadlife when choosing a replacement set, while others don't drive as aggressively and want a tire that provides a better ride and much longer treadlife.

Pirelli P Zero
Pirelli P Zero
 Continental Extreme Contact DW
Continental ExtremeContact DW

If you're a Camaro owner that loved how the car performed when new and are happy with the ride and treadlife of a summer tire, take a look at staying with the Original Equipment. The tire offers excellent dry road traction. If you want to try something new, consider the Continental ExtremeContact DW which provides noticeably better wet traction and lower road noise.

 Continental Extreme Contact DWS
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
 General G-Max AS-03
General G-MAX AS-03

If you're a Camaro owner who wants the best ride and longest treadlife at the expense of some grip, or would like to occasionally drive the Camaro in light snow, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS or General G-MAX AS-03 are both great options. Each tire would offer better treadlife over the Pirelli summer tire, along with the ability to drive the Camaro in freezing temperatures and light snow.

If it's time to change the tires on your RS or SS Camaro be sure to consider what you want most from your tires and choose something that best fits your everyday driving needs. For more help shopping for Camaro tires, read "Looking to Buy the Best Tire, But Not Sure Which One? Tire Rack Has the Answer!"

Initial Review, 4,500 Miles on Tires
June 05, 2014

These are a great 3 season tire. If you live in areas of frequent and prolonged snow/ice and I would pair these with snow tires.

I was down to getting either this tire, the Continental Extremecontact DWS or the Michelin Pilot A/S 3. At the time of purchase the Michelin had a lot or reports of a harsher ride and increased noise. The Continental had reports on the audizine forum of a weak side wall and multiple members experiencing a blown side wall. The biggest complaint on the Bridgestone was poor performance in the winter.

I have a separate winter tire for use from November to April here in Colorado. However, I did not want to use a summer only tire due to our occasional late spring snow storms and the occasional summer snow storm in the mountains. I also wanted a tire that would have better tread wear then a summer only tire.

I am very happy with this tire. The steering response is very crisp. Road noise is minimal or at least not beyond a normal level the degrades from your drive. Cornering is great when I am aggressive in the corners, off/on ramps or around the roundabouts. I have never felt more connected to the road in wet weather then I do with with this tire.

I only have two bad comments on this tire.
1) yes the winter/snow/ice ability is poor to average on this tire. If you are cautious you will do fine, but coming from snow tires and using these in one of our recent spring snowstorms and I was reminded quickly that you can't be aggressive in the snow with these.
2) I get flat spots on these when I park overnight. Its less evident when the weather is above 80 degrees F. It takes about 1 mile till the tires round out again.

Overall a great tire that I would buy again. I took off a set of Pirelli P6 all seasons with only 10,000 miles on them because they were so loud and harsh. These tires are so much better.
