Had Pirelli P Zero same size tires which was original equipment for this vehicle.
The Pirelli's had to be replaced at 24,000 miles with a little life left but started to wear down the center as well as overall tread depth.

The Michelin AST 3 Sport are quieter, corner better and are overall sure footed on wet pavement.

I'm keeping up with tire pressure, rotation and balancing (coming up) as I did with the Pirelli's but I am hoping that I will get 45,000 miles out of them as rated.

I bought a set of these tires back on July 2013. The tires have now 10k miles already, and even after the fact that my car literally "eats" tires for breakfast, the tires are still holding and I think I can extract another 1-2k miles from them (on the rears, the fronts still have thread for more than that). I tried everything on the market: Hankook Ventus V12s, Bridgestones Potenzas RE970s, Pirelli P-zeroes, Yoko Advans, and nothing came close to the excellent combination of performance, thread wear, road noise and stickiness of the PSS. I definitely recommend these tires to anyone.

I put these on my 1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE 2 years ago and they have been tremendous. Dry and wet weather grip for this type of mid engine car is extremely good. They give me a feeling of confidence while hard cornering that is stronger than any previous tire I've had on this car. That includes Pirelli , Toyo and Goodyear. I would purchase these again in a heart beat.

These are the best all season tires I have ever used. I thought being "low rolling resistance" tires I really would be sacrificing in other areas, but that has not the case. The dry, wet, and light snow traction for this tire type is amazing. There's not a even a huge drop off from my summer autocross tires in terms of dry traction, that was the biggest surprise. I normally blow through tires, but these are wearing very well.

With only 250 miles on these tires, I've already experienced very wet road conditions with excellent results at both highway and city street speeds and conditions.
Dry road handling is excellent. I am able to maneuver our many pot holes with extreme confidence. Years of autocross experience also helps.
I missed the snow season so can't comment at this time.
I went from an all season Goodyear Assurance triple tread with 85,000 on them (another tire that I rated almost as high as the Pirelli) then through the winter with Cooper snow tires, to the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Grand Touring.
The first major difference was the tire noise and gas mileage. These are the quitest tires I've ever had on my car. My gas milage avg is 25 mpg. This is 3 mpg better than the Goodyear and 7 mpg (to be expected) than the Cooper snows.
As with my Goodyear tires, I expect to get at least 80,000 miles out of them. Maintenance is the key to a long tire lifeand I perfome this religiously.
One othe note, They also look good on my Outback wagon.

Initial Review, 300 Miles on Tires
May 14, 2014

Bought this tires based on good reviews here and I am so happy I did! First a few words about myself, I am big nut about tires, I used to have Tire Business in my country before I moved to the US. I drive two Mercedes 2003 and 2005 E320 CDI, so lets talk about the tires, first this is high quality tires with a good price and as all new tires they are quiet and smooth, but they are better then the rest , on 2003 e320 I have Good Year ComfortTread Touring, Before was Turanza Serenety, and before Serenety was Mich.,(drive my e320 for 9 years) so Why Pirelli is best over them, First, once they installed they smooth NO VIBRATION unlike Turanzas Surenety(8 times for balance 16 tires and sold them after 800 mile because bad vibration. Second, Pirelli is super Stable unlike GY Comfort Tread Touring( Puling to one side of the road and then to another, depends on the road slop). About ride comfort, they are quiet but transmit little bit more road imperfections like road joints compere to the GY, but Performance way better to GY CTT. So based on my pretty fresh experience I found This Pirelli Cintureto All Season P7 is superior to the tires I have and hand on my two Benzes include Mich., Bridge, GoodYears, Hankooks. Get them and you will feel how very confident, super stable, quiet your car is. About tread life, I can't say now but just let you know I change my tires close around 30 000 miles , Why??? because all tires get very noisy and rough over 30 000. remember this.

I looked for a few weeks for a good tire that will be able to put up with my aggresive driving and be smooth and quite. I FOUND IT... The Pirelli Centruno P7 All Season Plus is the perfect match for me. I drove it through pouring rain and hot dry days and both the time the tire out perfomed by old noisy GoodYear Eagle GT tires. The nose level is amazing.. it feels like my car is not even making contact with road. And the best part.. with my old tires I was getting 22 mpg on my current commute of 22 miles highway 8 miles city driving; however, now I get over 28 mpg... a 6+ miles improvement. I strongly recommend this tire to anyone looking for a quite touring tire. I have not tried his in snow, but can't wait until winter time.. I'll update the review at that time.

Running on run flat tires was the worst tire experience I have ever had within my 40 years of driving. The stiff sidewalks transmit noise. No more bang from pot holes and my X5 is now quiet at high speeds. I purchased one of the last discontinued X5 factory spares kits, but a tow service membership is a great all-around protection whether with or without a spare. My old run flat tires lasted for 30 thousand painful miles and the lower cost of the new non run flat tires equates to 20 thousand miles to break even. This SUV is now set up to run on the highway and is not going to see much off-road adventure that would justify stronger sidewalls. This is my summer tire and so far so good. Just completed my 500 mile trip from the Sacramento Valley to the Central Oregon Coast up the I 5 corridor. The diesel motor loved the added grip and mini vans faded away thru the mountains.

Easily the best tires on my MS3 so far.

OEM tires on my car were Pirellis; I'm not sure what model. They lasted for roughly 18k miles. Cornering was terrible and noise levels were awful. The growl they produced could almost drown out the running engine.

Afterwards, I went to Kumho Ectsas which grip significantly improved; however, the noise level and ride comfort wasn't all that great. After hitting a pretty substantial pothole with my second set of Ecstas, a bubble appeared in the inside wall of the front right tire and since that set had around 45k on them, I decided to move to the Pilots.

Best decision I have made in a long while. The tires run super quiet and feel like you're riding on a cloud. Grip is amazing in dry weather and is exceptional in wet, snowy, and packed snow conditions. Cornering is tight, launches are crisper and overall ride comfort is amazing. Some of the greatest tires I have ever driven.

These tires are much more quiet and smoother than the OEM tires (Michelins). The tire responds marginally slower, but I this may because I have gone from 215's to 225's. I drove through torrential rain on I95 in Florida and I did not have any problems with hydroplaning. It is too early to comment on tread wear, but wear pattern is even and seems okay at this point. I would buy this tire again and recommend Tire Rack.

Replaced a set worn out Michelins that were very noisy. Based on reviews I steered away from Michelins and bought the Pirelli's. It was a good decision. These tires are the quietest I've had on the car, the best tracking, and the smoothest riding. I didn't notice any change in gas mileage. The Pirelli tires are a good value for the money.

I purchased these tires mid winter in central NY where we get a lot of snow. I was NOT happy with the OEM run flat tires that came on the car. The side walls are extra heavy and compromise the ride TOO much for my taste. These Pirelli's are a perfect fit for me. The ride quality and comfort are excellent. Wet traction and snow traction great, even in 4 plus inches of unplowed snow ; )). They handle well although not at the level of the OEM Pro_Conti's but I'm okay with that. They still hold the sharp corners I occasionally encounter and grip well from a stop when you want a HARD acceleration. The pricing here was the best I could find and tech support 5 stars. I hope they last the 70K but if I get 50k I'd be happy.

Went to a custom size to fit these on Redline rims. Luv these tires, got me thru another harsh winter (for Ohio) and lacking the time & $$ to invest in summer tires right now, as I've read previously here I will take them into the summer months & keep an eye on treadwear & performance. I have some twisty S-turn hilly roads in my commute & the Scorpions got me up & down those roads this winter with nary a slip. Can't wait to get these for my wife's car as well!

These are one of the BEST cold-weather tires & possibly all-season as well. Pirelli: Keep up the great work!

These are a great 3 season tire. If you live in areas of frequent and prolonged snow/ice and I would pair these with snow tires.

I was down to getting either this tire, the Continental Extremecontact DWS or the Michelin Pilot A/S 3. At the time of purchase the Michelin had a lot or reports of a harsher ride and increased noise. The Continental had reports on the audizine forum of a weak side wall and multiple members experiencing a blown side wall. The biggest complaint on the Bridgestone was poor performance in the winter.

I have a separate winter tire for use from November to April here in Colorado. However, I did not want to use a summer only tire due to our occasional late spring snow storms and the occasional summer snow storm in the mountains. I also wanted a tire that would have better tread wear then a summer only tire.

I am very happy with this tire. The steering response is very crisp. Road noise is minimal or at least not beyond a normal level the degrades from your drive. Cornering is great when I am aggressive in the corners, off/on ramps or around the roundabouts. I have never felt more connected to the road in wet weather then I do with with this tire.

I only have two bad comments on this tire.
1) yes the winter/snow/ice ability is poor to average on this tire. If you are cautious you will do fine, but coming from snow tires and using these in one of our recent spring snowstorms and I was reminded quickly that you can't be aggressive in the snow with these.
2) I get flat spots on these when I park overnight. Its less evident when the weather is above 80 degrees F. It takes about 1 mile till the tires round out again.

Overall a great tire that I would buy again. I took off a set of Pirelli P6 all seasons with only 10,000 miles on them because they were so loud and harsh. These tires are so much better.

Too soon to judge wet and snow, but judging from the tread pattern and dry performance I anticipate excellent performance there as well. Well Done Pirelli on the Plus.

A great improvement over the slippery OEM Michelins or my last tire the Continental DW's. It's like getting a new car. I never knew my Acura could ride this nice or this quiet. Wish I would have bought these years ago. A tip for tire researchers: Search by tire size not by car model. This tire does not show up for my car when searching by car model but it has turned out to be perfect for my car.
