Placing Orders for Pick-Up at Tire Rack

While Tire Rack is primarily a mail order company, we do allow for pick-up at many of our locations. Five of our distribution centers are equipped to handle customers looking for local pick-up of their orders.
 

In order to arrange an order for pick-up, you'll need to contact one of our sales specialists via phone, for example I can be reached at 800-428-8355 ext. 792. We'll be able to check the stock at each warehouse and get the product(s) pulled before you arrive. After speaking with a sales specialist, they'll provide you with a pick-up number and an estimate of when your order will be ready. 
 

The following distribution centers are ready to assist you with your pick-up order:

Due to tax laws, Delaware is our one facility that does not have the capability for Retail pickup orders.

I don't understand? Delaware is a tax free state. I know there is a tire "recycling fee" of $2.00 per new tire sold. But why can't a Delaware resident verified by driver's license not be able to personally pick up? Thus saving $50.00 delivery fee when I'm less then 10 minutes away?

State of Delaware Division of Revenue requires all tire retailers who deliver goods on their premises to pay additional gross receipts tax on ALL retail unit sales delivered from their locations, whether they were picked up or shipped to a different state.

Unfortunately if Tire Rack offered retail pickup at our Delaware warehouse the cost to all customers would increase to cover the State of Delaware’s additional gross receipts tax.

We regret that we are not able to offer individual customers the option pickup at our Delaware location and apologize for the inconvenience.

The nearest pickup location would be in Widsor, CT. We would be happy to arrange shipment to a border town should you desire. -Marshall

There are no handling fees, simply the cost of the tires and state tax.
