Introductory Test Report and Review: BFGoodrich Sport COMP-2 A/S

For the past two years, BFGoodrich has seen tremendous success with their Ultra High Performance Summer tire, the g-Force Sport COMP-2. New for this spring, BFGoodrich has expanded their line-up to include a new Ultra High Performance All-Season tire that they hope will find similar favor with consumers. The BFGoodrich Sport COMP-2 A/S aims to provide longer treadlife and all-season capability, while maintaining the sharp steering and handling traits that made the summer tire such a favorite.

Having just completed our internal test, it appears that they have hit their mark! Tested against three of its competitors, the BFGoodrich Sport COMP-2 A/S was among the fastest in both dry and wet testing. Despite the tire's aggressive directional pattern, it was surprisingly civilized during our on-road testing and produced levels of road noise that were on par with the rest of the group. Like most BFGoodrich products, the tire is priced well below that of its Michelin counterparts and is available in a large range of sizes that offer broad market coverage.

While it is a bit early to speculate about the tire's long term wear and winter weather abilities, it seems that at the moment they have created a winner. For more details, be sure to read "Testing Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires - Do New Options Raise the Performance Bar?"
